Feb 27 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

higher on Thursday, buoyed by financial stocks, as the country's

major banks continued their streak of robust quarterly results.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.3% at 25,400.64.
