July 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened

lower on Friday as U.S. President Donald Trump ramped up his

tariff assault on Canada, while investors assessed

better-than-expected June employment data.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.2% at 27,017.83

points.
