Oct 23 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Wednesday, hurt by mining stocks, ahead of the Bank of
Canada's monetary policy decision that is widely expected to
result in an oversized interest rate cut.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was down 72.44 points, or
0.29%, at 24,644.26.
