April 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Monday, with energy stocks leading the losses, as the
global market rout intensified after U.S. President Donald Trump
showed no sign of backing away from his sweeping tariff plans.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was down 3.5% at 22,383.84
