CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as commodity prices drop

Dec 30 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell on

Monday, as commodity prices retreated and higher bond yields

halted a global stocks rally heading into the year-end.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.9% at 24,575.87

points.
