CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as investors await Fed minutes

Oct 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower

on Wednesday, led by losses in energy stocks, while investors

awaited minutes from the Federal Reserve's September policy

meeting.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 56 points, or 0.23%,

at 24,016.51.
