April 23 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Thursday, impacted by falling mining stocks and renewed
Mideast concerns as Iran tightened its grip on the Strait of
Hormuz, with no sign of peace talks resuming.
At 09:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX
Composite Index was down 0.2% at 33,867.76 points.
