July 31(Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on
Friday, dragged down by declines in mining stocks as gold prices
slipped, while investors assessed stronger-than-expected GDP
data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index
shed 0.13% at 9:30 a.m. ET.
