July 17 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Wednesday, dragged down by a technology sector rout on
Wall Street, though gains in gold and oil shares helped limit
overall market losses.
At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was down 80.55 points, or
0.35%, to 22,914.84 at open.
