May 29 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Wednesday, as Treasury yields firmed ahead of key U.S.
inflation data due this week, while a slip in gold prices
weighed on materials shares.
At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was down 186.72 points, or
0.84%, at 22,078.33.
