Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
slightly higher on Thursday, with trading thin due a U.S. market
holiday, while investors awaited crucial monthly jobs data out
of Canada and the U.S. for clues on the interest rate path.
At 9:36 a.m. ET (1436 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.06%, or 13.93 points,
at 25,067.36 points.
