April 22 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Wednesday with broad-based gains after U.S. President
Donald Trump said he would extend the Iran ceasefire
indefinitely, even as reports of gunfire attacks on container
ships in the Strait of Hormuz kept investors cautious.
At 09:33 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX
Composite Index was up 0.6% at 34,063.34 points.
