07:15 AM EDT, 05/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wall Street futures pointed modestly lower pre-bell Thursday, as traders weighed the earnings season and awaited fresh market catalysts.
Yields on benchmark 10-year US Treasuries inched higher, touching just above 4.50%.
In the futures, the S&P 500 fell 0.2%, the Nasdaq declined 0.3% and the Dow Jones was off 0.2%.
Asian exchanges traded mostly lower overnight, although China-exposed trading floors gained after a strong April international trade report from Beijing. European bourses tracked marginally lower midday on the continent.
Applovin ( APP ) shares rose more than 14% pre-bell after the mobile-tech app outfit reported Q1 results and guidance late Wednesday.
Brookfield (BN), Constellation Energy ( CEG ) and Roblox ( RBLX ) plan to report earnings pre-bell, among others.
On the thin economic calendar is the weekly jobless claims report at 8:30 am ET, followed by the weekly EIA domestic natural gas supplies bulletin at 10:30 am.
In pre-market action, Bitcoin traded at $61,019, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded higher at $79.72, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 4.51%. Spot gold traded for $2,310 an ounce.
