From continental Europe, the gainers were led by insurer Aegon ( AEG ) and biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which rose 7.2% and 4.1%, respectively.
They were followed by biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) and pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) , which added 2.7% and 2.1%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) and steel maker ArcelorMittal ( MT ) , which fell 3.2% and 2.7%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and Centessa Pharmaceuticals ( CNTA ) , which rose 5.4% and 1.8%, respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by cryptocurrency miner Argo Blockchain ( ARBK ) , which was down 2.5%.
