European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Edge Higher in Monday Trading

11:16 AM EDT, 08/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts started the week modestly higher late Monday morning, rising 0.14% to 1,959.77 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ) and petroleum refiner Equinor ( EQNR ) , which advanced 17% and 3.8% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) , which rose 3.6% and 2.3% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) and internet advertising firm Criteo ( CRTO ) , which fell 3.4% and 2.3% respectively. They were followed by accommodations booking site trivago (TRVG) and brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev ( BUD ) , which were down 1.7% and 1.3% respectively.

The gainers from the UK were led by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) and biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) , which surged 43% and 7.7% respectively. They were followed by oil and gas company BP (BP) and biotech firm Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) , which increased 2.1% and 1.9% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by communications company WPP ( WPP ) and tobacco company British American Tobacco (BTI), which lost 5.5% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) , which was off 2.6%.
