From continental Europe, the gainers were led by 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS) and lender ING (ING), which rose 6.4% and 5.5% respectively. They were followed by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and internet advertising firm Criteo ( CRTO ) , which were up 1.7% and 1.1% respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and telecommunications company Nokia ( NOK ) , which fell 3% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) , which lost 2.8% and 2.7% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) and pharmaceutical company GSK (GSK), which advanced 2.1% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by cruise line operator Carnival (CUK) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which increased 1.3% and 1.2% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by communications company WPP ( WPP ) and software firm Endava ( DAVA ) , which dropped 14% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by mining company BHP Group ( BHP ) and biopharmaceutical company NuCana ( NCNA ) , which were down 2.1% and 1.8% respectively.
