European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Higher in Monday Trading

11:10 AM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts began the week modestly higher late Monday morning, rising 0.16% to 1,429.21 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech firm BioNTech (BNTX) and internet browser company Opera (OPRA), which rose 2.9% and 2.6% respectively. They were followed by furniture manufacturer Natuzzi (NTZ) and 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS), which were up 2.1% and 2% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and accommodations booking site trivago (TRVG), which fell 13% and 3% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Genfit ( GNFT ) and brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev ( BUD ) , which were down 1.9% and 1.8% respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and Amarin ( AMRN ) , which increased 4% and 3.3%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company NuCana ( NCNA ) and construction materials supplier CRH (CRH), which advanced 0.4% and 3.1%, respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) and biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which lost 4.4% and 0.4%, respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) and software firm Endava ( DAVA ) , which dropped 1.7% and 1.6% respectively.
