From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) , which rose 5.9% and 4% respectively. They were followed by software firm SAP (SAP) and telecommunications company VEON (VEON), which were up 2.7% and 2%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by petroleum refiner Equinor ( EQNR ) and Evaxion Biotech ( EVAX ) , which fell 3.4% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by oil and gas companies Eni (E) and TotalEnergies (TTE), which dropped 2.4% and 2.1% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) and cruise line operator Carnival (CUK), which increased 5.2% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which advanced 3.1%.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company TC Biopharm ( TCBP ) and mining company BHP Group ( BHP ) , which lost 4.9% and 4.3% respectively. They were followed by insurance company Prudential (PUK) and financial services company HSBC ( HSBC ) , which were down about 3.9% each.
