11:16 AM EDT, 06/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower on Friday morning, down 0.3% to 1,457.10 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.
From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech company Evaxion ( EVAX ) and pharmaceutical company Grifols ( GRFS ) , which rose 5.5% and 1.6% respectively.
They were followed by energy company Eni (E), which was adding 1%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by pharmaceutical research company Galapagos (GLPG) and biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which fell 3.4% and 2.9% respectively.
They were followed by semiconductor company ASML ( ASML ) , which was down 2.4%.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and telecom provider Vodafone ( VOD ) , which rose 2% and 1.5% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by pharmaceutical companies Compass Pathways ( CMPS ) and Centessa Pharmaceuticals ( CNTA ) , which declined 5.8% and 2.8% respectively.
