European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Monday Trading

11:00 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were trending modestly higher Monday morning, up 0.25% to 1,603.38 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which rose 5.8% and 3.1%, respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma ( ASND ) and petroleum refiner Equinor ( EQNR ) , which were up 2.8% and 2.7%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by furniture manufacturer Natuzzi (NTZ) and internet browser company Opera (OPRA), which shed 8.1% and 4.3%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Genfit ( GNFT ) and Grifols ( GRFS ) , which dropped 2.4% and 2.1%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Amarin ( AMRN ) and NuCana ( NCNA ) , which advanced 7% and 6.2%, respectively. They were followed by oil and gas company BP (BP) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which increased 2.3% and 2.1%, respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and lender Barclays ( BCS ) , which fell 7.5% and 1.8%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) , which were down less than 1% each.
