From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which rose 6.6% and 3.9%, respectively. They were followed by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) , which were up 3.2% and 2.6%, respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical companies DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and Cellectis ( CLLS ) , which fell 4.8% and 4.5%, respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma ( ASND ) and biopharmaceutical company Grifols ( GRFS ) , which were down 4.1% and 1.5%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company NuCana ( NCNA ) and software firm Endava ( DAVA ) , which advanced 6.3% and 4.5%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which increased 4.4% and 3.4%, respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) , which lost 69% and 3.6%, respectively. They were followed by educational publisher Pearson (PSO) and biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) , which dropped 1.9% and 1.5%, respectively.
