From continental Europe, the gainers were led by electronics conglomerate Royal Philips (PHG) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which rose 4.5% and 4.4% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Genfit ( GNFT ) , which increased 3.2%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by petroleum refiner Equinor ( EQNR ) and biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) , which fell 3.8% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by oil and gas companies TotalEnergies (TTE) and Eni (E), which were off 0.8% and 0.5% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) and biopharmaceutical company Amarin ( AMRN ) , which surged about 29% each. They were followed by cruise line operator Carnival (CUK) and Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which advanced 11% and 6.2% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and oil and gas company BP (BP), which dropped 3.6% and 1.1% respectively. They were followed by communications group WPP ( WPP ) , which was down 0.5%.
