From continental Europe, the gainers were led by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which advanced 6.5% and 5.2%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) , which increased 4.1% and 3%, respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company Genfit ( GNFT ) and pharmaceutical company Sanofi ( SNY ) , which lost 2.5% and 2.2%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) and accommodations booking company trivago (TRVG), which were down 2.1% and 1.7%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) and cruise line operator Carnival (CUK), which rose 4.6% and 2.4%, respectively. They were followed by insurance company Prudential (PUK) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which were up 2.3% and 1.7%, respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which fell 3% and 2.7%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company NuCana ( NCNA ) and telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) , which dropped 2.5% and 2.1%, respectively.
