From continental Europe, the gainers were led by energy majors Equinor ( EQNR ) and TotalEnergies (TTE), which rose 2.4% and 1.7%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications company Ericsson (ERIC) and Italian oil and gas giant Eni (E), which were up 1.5% 1.3% respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and biotech firm Evaxion Biotech ( EVAX ) , which dropped 2.7% and 2.4%, respectively. They were followed by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ) and pharmaceutical company Sanofi ( SNY ) , which lost 2.1% and 1.5%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) and TC Biopharm ( TCBP ) , which climbed 11% and 6.8% higher, respectively. They were followed by insurance company Prudential (PUK) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which increased 3.2% and 2.4%, respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies NuCana ( NCNA ) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which were down 5% and 2.3%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) and utilities company National Grid ( NGG ) , which fell 2% and 1.5%, respectively.
