From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Genfit ( GNFT ) and electronics conglomerate Philips (PHG), which rose 2.2% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by financial services companies Banco Santander (SAN) and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ) , which were up 1.4% and 1% respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech firm Evaxion Biotech ( EVAX ) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which lost 10% and 3.4% respectively. They were followed by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and the pharmaceutical company Sanofi ( SNY ) , which dropped 4.2% and 1.8% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies TC Biopharm ( TCBP ) and Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) , which advanced 24.1% and 10.4% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) and pharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) , which increased 5% and 3.2% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca ( AZN ) , which fell 3.4% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) , which was down 1.5%.
