May 9 (Reuters) - Greek industrial output rose by 1.7%
year-on-year in March, after an upwardly revised 6.0% increase
in February, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on
Friday.
A breakdown of index components showed manufacturing
production rose 1.9% from the same month in 2024. Electricity
output was up by 0.6% year-on-year, and mining production was up
1.5%.
Compared to the same month a year earlier, in March the
greatest percentage increase was recorded in the mining of coal
and lignite sector, while the highest percentage decrease was
recorded in the wood and products of wood and cork division,
ELSTAT said.
