Friday.

DEBT

Treasury to detail sale of BTP Short and BTPEi at auction on

June 24.

Treasury closes sale of BTP ITALIA SI' bond for retail

investors (1100 GMT).

COMPANIES

UNICREDIT

Riccardo Orcel, a former senior banker at Russian

state-backed bank VTB Group and brother of CEO Andrea Orcel,

helped broker a recent agreement to sell the Italian bank's

Russia business, Reuters reported exclusively on Thursday.

BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA

The government will take a neutral stance regarding merger

and acquisition moves targeting the bailed-out Tuscan bank, the

economy minister told parliament on Thursday.

Addressing lawmakers in the Senate, Giancarlo Giorgetti also

said that a share placement through an accelerated bookbuilding

procedure (ABB) would be "one of the best solutions" to cut

Italy's residual 5% stake in MPS.

The French bank Credit Agricole is considering

increasing its stake in the Italian lender as it mulls how to

respond to a wave of deal making in Italy's banking sector,

Bloomberg reported on Thursday citing people familiar with the

matter and adding no decision has yet been taken.

Intesa SanPaolo, UniCredit, Bnp Paribas

, Deutsche Bank and Jp Morgan will

provide 2.85 billion euros ($3.25 billion) in financing for the

cash component of the financial conglomerate's offer for Telecom

Italia, Italian daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Friday.

The Italian defence and aerospace company said on Thursday

its board had approved the group's new organisational structure

under which chairman Francesco Macrì will have full

responsibility for the corporate bodies affairs organisational

unit.

The investment firm of Italy's powerful Agnelli family said

on Thursday it had appointed Benoit Ribadeau-Dumas as deputy

CEO.

MILAN BOURSE

Italy is assessing whether to intervene to defend the

interests of state lender CDP in its clash with pan-European

stock exchange operator Euronext over management of the

Milan bourse, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on

Thursday.

AVIO

The rocket maker said on Thursday it had won a contract

worth more than 35 million euros from MBDA in France to supply

components for the Aster 30 air defence system.

Speech by ECB board member Piero Cipollone at event about

the 80th anniversary of the Italian Constitution organised by

Rome's Sapienza university. (1015 GMT)
