TOKYO, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei share average
slipped on Thursday, as technology shares declined, following
investor disappointment at AI darling Nvidia's earnings report.
The Nikkei was 0.32% lower at 38,250.01, as of 0049
GMT, after falling more than 1% earlier in the session.
Chip-testing equipment maker Advantest ( ADTTF ), an Nvidia
supplier, sank 1.6%, while chip-making equipment giant Tokyo
Electron ( TOELF ) slid 0.65%.
By contrast, the broader Topix was off just 0.04%,
with a subindex of growth shares falling 0.14% versus a
0.06% rise for value stocks.
