MUMBAI, June 21 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 430.56 points, or 0.56%,
to 77,048.37, while the broader NSE index lost 104.95
points, or 0.45%, to 23,462.05, as a decline in banks outweighed
the rise in information technology stocks fuelled by Accenture's ( ACN )
upbeat revenue growth forecast.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.09% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 83.58, recovering from a decline to its
lifetime low in the previous session that was spurred by
weakness in the Chinese yuan and likely dollar outflows.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.85
rupees, with the yield unchanged at 6.9773%, as traders awaited
debt auction result.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was
unchanged at 6.75%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate
rose 2 bps to 6.34%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.65%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.73%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.5301%.
