Sri Lanka dollar bonds rally as president reappoints prime minister, keeps finmin role
Nov 19, 2024 8:40 PM

LONDON, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's dollar bonds

gained nearly 1 cent on Monday morning, Tradeweb data showed,

after President Anura Kumara Dissanayake retained the key

finance minister portfolio and reappointed Harini Amarasuriya as

prime minister.

All the bonds notched gains, but the 2026 added the most -

just under 1 cent - to be bid at 63.63 cents on the dollar.

Dissanayake's leftist coalition won a record 159

parliamentary seats in elections last week as the Indian Ocean

island nation targets stronger recovery from a draining

financial crisis.
