06:58 AM EST, 02/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity markets were tracking in the green before Thursday's opening bell as traders await last month's data on producer prices.

Standard & Poor's 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.1% each in premarket activity, while the Nasdaq added 0.2%. Asian exchanges were mixed to lower while most European bourses were pointing higher midday on the continent.

January's producer price index report, a measure for wholesale prices, is scheduled to be released at 8:30 am ET. The data comes a day after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that consumer inflation accelerated last month on both sequential and annual bases.

Also on Thursday's economic calendar, the weekly jobless claims bulletin posts at 8:30 am followed by the weekly EIA natural-gas supplies report at 10:30 am.

Shares of Reddit ( RDDT ) dropped 14% pre-bell as the social media platform's daily active unique visitors in the fourth quarter fell short of market estimates. Cisco Systems ( CSCO ) advanced 6.3% as the networking equipment maker reported stronger-than-expected fiscal second-quarter results. Robinhood Markets ( HOOD ) jumped 13% following its quarterly results.

Deere & Co. ( DE ) , Moody's (MCO), Duke Energy ( DUK ) , Zoetis ( ZTS ) , American Electric Power ( AEP ) , Howmet Aerospace ( HWM ) , Datadog ( DDOG ) , GE HealthCare Technologies ( GEHC ) , Global Payments ( GPN ) , PPL (PPL), US Foods ( USFD ) , Hyatt Hotels ( H ) and Crocs ( CROX ) report their latest earnings before the bell, among others.

Applied Materials ( AMAT ) , Palo Alto Networks ( PANW ) and Airbnb ( ABNB ) are scheduled to release their financial statements after the markets close.

Before the opening bell, bitcoin declined 1.1% to $96,092, West Texas Intermediate crude oil decreased 1.3% to $70.45 per barrel, yields on 10-year Treasuries retreated 3.3 basis points to 4.6% and gold gained 0.5% to $2,944 an ounce.
