07:15 AM EST, 02/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The main US stock measures were pointing higher in Wednesday's premarket activity as traders await the latest financial results of tech bellwether Nvidia ( NVDA ) .
Standard & Poor's 500 rose 0.5%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.3% and the Nasdaq added 0.8% before the opening bell. Asian exchanges were mixed to lower while European bourses were tracking in the green.
Shares of Nvidia ( NVDA ) gained 2.2% pre-bell with the chipmaking giant scheduled to report its quarterly earnings after the markets close. Intuit (INTU) advanced 8.5% as the financial technology company recorded a surprise increase in fiscal second-quarter earnings.
Workday (WDAY) jumped 12% as the cloud human resources company reported better-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results. Lowe's (LOW) stock inclined 4% as the home improvement retailer's fiscal fourth-quarter results topped market estimates.
TJX (TJX), Anheuser-Busch Inbev ( BUD ) , Stellantis ( STLA ) , Verisk Analytics ( VRSK ) , United Therapeutics ( UTHR ) , Bentley Systems ( BSY ) , DT Midstream ( DTM ) and Dycom Industries ( DY ) also report earnings before the bell, among others. Salesforce ( CRM ) , Synopsys ( SNPS ) , Snowflake (SNOW), eBay ( EBAY ) and TKO Group ( TKO ) post their financial statements after markets close.
On the economic calendar, the weekly mortgage applications bulletin is out at 7 am ET, followed by the new home sales report for January at 10 am. The weekly EIA domestic petroleum inventories report is due at 10:30 am, while the Atlanta Federal Reserve's Survey of Business Uncertainty for last month is scheduled for an 11 am release.
Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin is slated to speak at 8:30 am, while Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic speaks at 12 pm.
In premarket action, bitcoin edged up 0.5% to $88,646, West Texas Intermediate crude oil inched down to $68.92 a barrel, yields on 10-year Treasuries inclined 1.7 basis points to 4.32% and gold nudged higher 0.3% to $2,929 an ounce.
