07:21 AM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wall Street futures pointed moderately higher pre-bell Thursday to fresh all-time record zeniths, as traders again favored tech issues.
Chip designer Nvidia ( NVDA ) is up 3.4% pre-bell and touting a $3.335 trillion market capitalization, the world's highest.
In the futures, the S&P 500 rose 0.4%, the Nasdaq inclined 0.7% and the Dow Jones was up 0.1%.
Accenture ( ACN ) traded up 6.2% pre-bell, after the consultancy reported solid quarterly earnings pre-bell.
Asian exchanges traded choppily overnight after the People's Bank of China provided no rate relief. European bourses tracked moderately higher midday on the continent.
Kroger (KR) plans to report earnings pre-bell, among others. Darden Restaurants ( DRI ) rose 1.3% pre-bell after reporting quarterly results.
On the economic calendar is the weekly jobless claims bulletin at 8:30 am ET, along with the housing starts and permits report for May, the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index for June, and the Q1 international trade current account report.
The Atlanta Fed Business Inflation Expectations report for June posts at 10 am, followed by the weekly EIA domestic oil inventories report at 11 am.
Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari speaks at 8:45 am, Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin at 4 pm, and San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly at 10:15 am.
In pre-market action, Bitcoin traded at $65,764, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded higher at $80.78, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 4.25%. Spot gold traded for $2,340 an ounce.
