07:25 AM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wall Street futures were muted pre-bell Wednesday, as traders digested recent equity-index record highs and awaited fresh market catalysts.
In the futures, the S&P 500 fell 0.1%, after striking its 41st record-zenith close of the year on Tuesday. The Nasdaq declined 0.2%, but the Dow Jones was marginally in the green.
Asian exchanges traded unevenly overnight, while European bourses tracked sideways midday on the continent.
KB Home (KBH) traded down 6.4% pre-bell after the homebuilder posted quarterly results and missed profit expectations, late Tuesday.
Cintas (CTAS) plans to report earnings pre-bell, among others.
On the economic calendar is the new home sales bulletin at 10 am ET, followed by the weekly EIA petroleum status report at 10:30 am.
The Atlanta Federal Reserve's Survey of Business Uncertainty for September posts at 11 am.
Fed Governor Adriana Kugler speaks at 4 pm.
In pre-market action, Bitcoin traded at $63,701, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded lower at $70.81, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 3.76%. Spot gold traded for $2,680 an ounce, testing record highs.
