Additionally, Nvidia ( NVDA ) is demanding full upfront payment from Chinese customers looking to buy its H200 AI chips, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two people briefed on the matter. Nvidia ( NVDA ) shares were down 2.2% around midday.
Shares of defense contractors surged after President Donald Trump said late Wednesday on Truth Social called for a 50% increase in the US military budget. Shares of Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) , Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) and RTX (RTX) were up 5.0%, 3.5% and 1.6%, respectively.
