Wall Street Set to Open Higher Monday as Investors Look Ahead to a Week of Earnings Reports

09:27 AM EDT, 10/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US stocks look set to open higher in Monday's trading session ahead of a raft of earnings coming out this week, including Cleveland Cliffs ( CLF ) , Steel Dynamics, Inc. ( STLD ) , and W.R. Berkley (WRB) later Monday; from Netflix ( NFLX ) and General Motors ( GM ) Tuesday, from Tesla (TSLA) Wednesday and from Procter & Gamble ( PG ) Friday.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up 0.4%, S&P 500 futures were rising 0.5%, and Nasdaq futures gained 0.6%.

Oil prices were moving lower, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude declining 1.6% to $60.33 per barrel and and US West Texas Intermediate crude declining 1.6% to $56.22 per barrel.

In other world markets, Japan's Nikkei gained 3.4%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose

2.4%, and China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.6%. Meanwhile in Europe's early afternoon session, the UK's FTSE 100 rose 0.4%, Germany's DAX climbed 1.4%, France's CAC 40 gained 0.1% and Spain's IBEX 35 was up 1.2%.

In equities, shares of Replimune Group ( REPL ) soared 102% in the premarket session after it said Monday the US Food and Drug Administration has accepted the resubmission of the Biologics License Application for its lead product candidate RP1 to treat advanced melanoma. Shares of Beyond Meat ( BYND ) jumped 54%, adding to a 24% gain on Friday. Azitra ( AZTR ) shares surged 43% after it said Monday that it will report positive preclinical progress for its ATR-01 program to treat patients with ichthyosis vulgaris, a genetic skin disorder. RAPT Therapeutics' ( RAPT ) stock jumped 57% after it reported positive topline data Monday from a phase 2 trial of RPT904 as monotherapy to treat patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria. And Celcuity ( CELC ) shares advanced 52% after it said Monday that it has completed patient enrollment for a phase 3 trial to treat patients with breast cancer.

On the losing side, Olema Pharmaceuticals ( OLMA ) shares tumbled 28% after it said Friday that its phase 1b/2 study of palazestrant in combination with ribociclib in patients with breast cancer did not meet its median progression-free survival goal. Shares of The Growhub (TGHL) lost 31%, following a 6% gain the previous trading session. Smart Logistics Global's ( SLGB ) stock shed 19%, adding to a 3% loss on Friday. Shares of LiqTech International ( LIQT ) fell 18% after a slight loss on Friday. Shares of Solana Company ( HSDT ) dropped 20% on top of a 23% loss the previous session. And Acco Group ( ACCL ) shares were down 19% after a 1.3% gain on Friday.
