After Twitter and Facebook suspending Donald Trump's accounts, YouTube has removed new content uploaded to the channel of the outgoing US President.
The video platform has temporarily prevented uploading of any new content on Trump's channel for a minimum of seven days and also disabled comments indefinitely.
The move comes after Trump's supporters stormed the US Capitol and amid concerns of further risk of violence ahead of Joe Biden's January 20 inauguration as President.
In a series of tweets, YouTube said, "After review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J. Trump’s channel for violating our policies. It now has its 1st strike and is temporarily prevented from uploading new content for a *minimum* of 7 days."
It added, "Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump’s channel, as we’ve done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments section."
Twitter had last week permanently shut down Donald Trump account, citing concern that he would use it for further incitement of violence.
