Amazon Receives US Federal Aviation Administration Approval to Fly Delivery Drones Beyond Line of Sight

08:17 AM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) said Thursday that the US Federal Aviation Administration has given its drone delivery service, Prime Air, additional approval to fly drones beyond visual line of sight, or BVLOS.

The company said it received the US FAA's Air Carrier Certificate in 2020.

Amazon ( AMZN ) plans to immediately scale its drone delivery service in College Station, Texas, the company said.
