06:43 AM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Frontier Lithium ( LITOF ) on Thursday reported results from drilling on the Spark pegmatite in Ontario to advance the first phase of a definitive feasible study.
Highlights of the results include 136.7 meters of pegmatite from surface averaging 1.32 lithium oxide (Li2O), 53.2 meters of pegmatite from surface averaging 1.24% Li2O, and 48.1 meters of pegmatite from surface averaging 1.93% Li2O.
One of the drill holes stepped out 200 meters to the west, intersecting 26.8 meters of pegmatite from 18.9 to 45.7 meters, confirming that the Spark pegmatite remains open.
"The geotechnical winter diamond drill program yielded consistent drill intersections with the two northern holes confirming and extending a high-grade lithium zone, with enriched cesium and tantalum," said Garth Drever, vice president of exploration at Frontier. "The program also extended the Spark pegmatite 200 metres to the west."
In addition to the diamond drilling at Spark, geotechnical drilling continued during February and March on potential infrastructure sites including stockpiles, tailing management, mill and other related facilities.
