GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Littlejohn & Co., LLC (“Littlejohn”), a private investment firm based in Greenwich, CT, today announced that it has acquired Milrose Consultants (“Milrose” or the “Company”) from Southfield Capital. Milrose is a national consulting, engineering and architecture services provider focused on keeping its customers’ buildings and projects safe and compliant. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in New York City, Milrose offers fully integrated building lifecycle services in permitting, architectural and engineering consulting, code consulting, municipal compliance, and special inspection services. The Company provides comprehensive regulatory and compliance solutions that support existing buildings and highly complex real estate projects across the United States. Milrose serves a diverse portfolio of blue-chip customers including building owners, property managers, operators, developers, general contractors, architects, engineers, tenants and large corporations across multifamily, office, retail, healthcare, industrial, and hospitality assets. Milrose Chief Executive Officer Dominic Maurillo will continue to lead the Company along with the existing senior leadership team.

“Milrose has developed an established and well-respected brand providing an essential service to the built environment,” said Brian Michaud, Managing Director at Littlejohn. “Our investment in Milrose is a natural extension of Littlejohn’s deep experience investing in differentiated providers of products and services to the building and infrastructure markets, and we look forward to bringing our resources and network to strategically grow the platform and further enhance its capabilities.”

“Littlejohn's extensive track record scaling technical services businesses, paired with the team’s highly focused, operationally driven, long-term approach to value creation align well with Milrose’s growth ambitions,” said Dominic Maurillo, Chief Executive Officer of Milrose. “With Littlejohn’s resources and expertise operating in the building and infrastructure markets, we are well positioned for strategic geographic expansion, M&A, and new investment in technology, talent, and platform capabilities as we seek to deliver the high-quality building services our clients have come to expect and rely on.”

“In the markets where Milrose operates, regulatory and safety requirements remain highly complex. Milrose has a strong reputation among owners, developers and corporations as a trusted platform with significant differentiation across service offerings over its 38-year history. In a large, fragmented market facing aging building stock and increasingly complex regulatory requirements, we see a compelling opportunity to build on that foundation and expand services to meet customers’ evolving needs,” added Charles Leung, Principal at Littlejohn.

Lincoln International and Morrissey Goodale served as financial advisors, Ropes & Gray LLP provided legal counsel, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as debt financing counsel to Littlejohn. Solomon Partners served as lead financial advisor to Milrose, while Houlihan Lokey provided co-advisory services.
