12:58 PM EDT, 04/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) and Microsoft ( MSFT ) are among the tech giants facing a possible probe from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, over antitrust concerns, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

The lawmaker reportedly sent a letter to the chief executives of Microsoft ( MSFT ), Alphabet, as well as the heads of OpenAI and Amazon ( AMZN )-backed (AMZN) Anthropic, over artificial intelligence partnerships that may accelerate consolidation in the sector "if left unchecked."

Google ( GOOG ) is also an investor in Anthropic. Warren's letter was co-signed by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon.

Google ( GOOG ), Microsoft ( MSFT ), Anthropic, OpenAI, and Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
