09:20 AM EDT, 07/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) and Nissan Motor are considering sharing automotive software and collaborating on electric vehicle charging, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a Nikkei report.
The potential partnership aims to develop a joint operating system that controls cars to reduce costs and enhance competitiveness in the global EV market, the report said.
The automakers are exploring cooperation in six areas, including charging infrastructure, the report added.
Honda Motor ( HMC ) and Nissan did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
