The encoder-decoder language model, available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel with Copilot+ PCs, is offloaded onto the neural processing unit and responds at over 100 tokens per second, analyzing natural language queries to execute Windows Settings function calls, according to the company.
Mu addresses the limitations of NPUs and was trained using A100 graphic processing units on Azure Machine Learning in phases, the company said.
Shares of Microsoft ( MSFT ) were up 1.3% in recent trading.
