08:49 AM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Redwire ( RDW ) said Wednesday that it has been awarded a $44 million phase 2 contract to advance the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA's, Otter Very Low Earth Orbit mission.

The phase 2 contract provides funding to complete manufacturing and deliver the world's first air-breathing spacecraft to launch for the mission, which uses Redwire's ( RDW ) SabreSat orbital drone platform design, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 9% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
