United States Steel Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Net Sales Decline

05:45 PM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United States Steel ( X ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.84 per diluted share, down from $1.92 a year ago.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.81.

Net sales in the quarter ended June 30 fell to $4.12 billion from $5.01 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.90 billion.

The company kept its dividend at $0.05 a share, payable on Sept. 11 to shareholders of record on Aug. 12.
