11:46 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Velocity Minerals ( VLCJF ) was last seen up 23% after the company on Tuesday said Turkerler, a diversified company based in Turkey, agreed to purchase the Rozino gold project, and Velocity's interest in certain other Bulgarian mineral property assets, for US$59 million cash.

"We are delighted to have secured a US$59 million deal for our Bulgarian assets so soon after announcing our intention to do so. We look forward to closing this transaction in due course," said chief executive Keith Henderson.

The transaction is scheduled to close by January 31.

Velocity was last seen up $0.035, to $0.19, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
