S&P Global June Final Services PMI Indicates Expansion
Jul 3, 2024 7:20 AM

10:01 AM EDT, 07/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The S&P Global US services index was revised downwards to 55.3 in June from the 55.1 flash reading, compared with expectations for no revision in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 6:50 am ET.

The June index is above the 54.8 reading in May.

The index indicates expansion, which is in line with the readings from Philadelphia Fed and Kansas City but in contrast to other regional services data that suggest that the sector contracted.

S&P Global noted that new orders increased due to an increase in the number of customers and successful marketing.

The ISM's services reading will be released at 10:00 am ET.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Sales of previously owned U.S. homes increased solidly in August as lower mortgage rates pulled buyers back into the market, though a softening labor market could curb further gains. The National Association of Realtors said on Monday pending home sales, based on signed contracts, rebounded 4.0% last month.
