RE/MAX Holdings Say April US Home Sales Rise 11% From March, Fall 1.4% From Year Ago

05:00 PM EDT, 05/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RE/MAX Holdings ( RMAX ) said US home sales across 51 metropolitan areas rose 11% in April from March and fell 1.4% a year earlier

New listings rose 6.2% from March and 7.5% from a year earlier, and inventory climbed 7% from March and was up from a year earlier, the company said.

The median sales at $440,000 rose 1.2% from March and 2.3% from a year earlier.

The average days on market for homes sold in April fell to 40 from 44 in March.

"April's housing market showed some encouraging growth, with home sales increasing and days on market decreasing compared to March," the company said.
