09:04 AM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower premarket Tuesday, with The Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was more than 1% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 2.3%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.8% at $75.21 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.8% to $79.12 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 0.9% at $2.02 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
DT Midstream ( DTM ) shares advanced over 3% after the company reported Q2 adjusted operating earnings of $0.98 per diluted share. Four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.91.
