09:04 AM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks fell pre-bell Tuesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 0.1% lower recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 0.2% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 3.1% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.3% at $61.98 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.3% to $65.33 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 3% higher at $3.556 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
ProPetro Holding ( PUMP ) shares advanced by over 7% after the company said its PROPWR unit was awarded a 10-year contract to provide 80 megawatts of power generation capacity to an unnamed oil and gas exploration and production company.
